Frequently Asked Questions

PCOS is a genetic, hormone, metabolic and reproductive disorder that affects 10-20% of women (or to be inclusive: those born with a uterus). It is the leading cause of female infertility. 50% of women go undiagnosed and it can take may years to get a diagnose and proper treatment.

PCOS can lead to lifelong complications and other serious conditions like type 2 diabetes, severe anxiety and depression, endometrial cancer, liver disease and cardiovascular disease. Common signs and symptoms can include irregular periods, hair loss, excess facial and body hair, acne, dark patches of skin, weight gain, insulin resistance, and small cysts in the ovaries.

The good news is that diet and lifestyle can play a major role in decreasing symptoms and health risks! And the younger you start, the better.
